These are the installation instructions from the label on the packaging:
Cut a 2″ / 50.8mm diameter hole. The opening can be made with a metal hole cutting saw having a minimum of 6 T.P.I. Using a slow speed of 300-400 rpm half of the way through from one side, then cut the rest of the way through from the other side.
Use a file, abrasive paper or scraper to remove any burrs or sharp edges from the hole.
On plastic over 3mm it is beneficial to chamfer the inside edge.
Take your vent and push it through the hole from the inside. If it is too tight you can gradually open out the hole with a file or abrasive paper until you get the vent to operate to your preference.
