Prevents main landing gear from collapsing should a landing gear component fail. It is recommended to use new AN hardware when installing new safety cables due to bolt length. Bolt Kit VA1025 also available from Univair. Safety cables should always be replaced after a landing gear failure due the possibility of permanently stretching the cables.
